Orange Rolls

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 tablespoon yeast
  • 1/3 cup warm water
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/4 cups butter
  • Dash of salt
  • 3 beaten eggs
  • 4 1/2 cups flour

Orange Sauce:

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon grated orange rinds
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Directions:

  1. Dissolve 1 1/2 tablespoons of yeast in 1/3 cups of water.
  2. Scald milk, sugar, butter, and salt.  When cool add eggs, yeast mixture, and flour.  Mix.  Let rise.  No kneading.  Let it double.  Put on floured board.  Shape and let rise again.
  3. Backe at 425 degrees for 12-15 minutes.
  4. Orange Sauce: cream butter, orange peel, organce juice, and powered sugar.  Frost
