Potato Casserole Supreme


  • 7 potatoes
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup chopped onions
  • 2 cups cream of chicken soup
  • 1 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 pint sour cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cups crushed corn flakes or bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Boil potatoes until tender, let them cool and dice.
  2. Saute onions in 1/4 cups of butter until transparent. Remove from heat and add spices, soup, sour cream, milk, and cheese. Mix.
  3. Layer potatoes in a greased 9×13 pan. Pour over potatoes and gently mix in.
  4. Sprinkle with crumbs and dot with butter. Cover and bake at 375 degrees for 20-30 minutes. Uncover during last 5 minutes.
