Pumpkin Bread

Bread:

  • 4 cups flour
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/2 teaspoon cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger
  • 4 eggs, mixed
  • 2/3 cups water
  • 15 ounces pumpkin (1 can)
  • 1 cup vegetable oil

Frosting:

  • 1 lb powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 4 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • Pinch of cinnamon
  1. Combine all dry ingredients. Add wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  2. Grease 3 bread loaf pans.  Divide 1/3 of the dough into each pan.
  3. Bake 350 degrees for 50 mins.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix all frosting ingredients together until smooth.
  5. When the bread is finished, let it cool and add frosting. Enjoy!
