Gingerbread Roll out Cookies

Ingredients:

3 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoons ginger
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon cloves
2 teaspoons grated orange rinds
1/4 teaspoon cardamon
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg
3/4 cup molasses

Directions:

  1. Combine dry ingredients.
  2. Cream butter and sugar.
  3. Mix egg and molasses to butter mixture.
  4. Mix in dry ingredients.
  5. Flatten into two discs and wrap in plastic.
  6. Refrigerate for 1 hour before rolling out.
  7. Roll out 1/8 thick and cut out desired shape.
